Just wanted to share this personal recollection from one of my dear friends, Barbara.  She has her own blog entitled DoDogsHave9Lives…check it out when you can.  Anyways, here is an exerpt of her experience with the acai diet:

Can the Acai Diet work for me?  If it is a good quality acai berry product, then yes, it is worth it. Acai is the best known antioxidant fruit that is known on the planet. The antioxidants in acai help to cleanse your body. The natural lipids in acai help to give you more energy and stamina. The fiber in acai helps digestion and fat loss.

I’ve been using acai berry products for a couple of months now and I’ve noticed that yes they do work. I used them when I wanted to trim off about 15lbs.

I knew that diet and exercise alone would help achieve that goal alone but I needed something to help me with my mid afternoon snacking urges. This is where I found the acai berry really helped me.

It helped to curb those mid afternoon urges which meant when I went out jogging later that night I wasn’t just jogging to work off that bag of Doritios I snacked on around 3pm instead I was actually working off the weight I wanted..

After a couple months I now no longer needed the supplements and can manage my weight more easily, so I found that yes they really did help speed up my weight loss goals when I used them along with a diet and exercise program, as the berries gave me more energy and helped to curb my appetite

Stumbled accross the following article published on a news site on my searches for ‘acai diet’ and found it both interesting and inspirational.  A brief preview:

Week Four:

After the fourth week, my final results were shocking. I lost an unbelievable 25 lbs since starting the Acai Energy and Liquiboost Cleanse diet! Actually everyone at News 6 is kicking themselves for not having volunteered to be the guinea pig. Using the Acai Energy and Liquiboost Cleanse in week 4, I lost 3 more pounds. But to be honest I really didn‘t have much more than that left to lose. And I am definately going to continue taking the Acai Energy and Liquiboost afterwards because it has so many antioxidants and vitamins that makes my skin look unbelievable.

I couldn‘t be any happier with the results.
I Lost 25lbs in 4 Weeks, No Special Diet, and
No Intense Exercise “

It appears the journalist took a slightly different approach by also teaming up her acai pill intake with a product called Liquidboost Cleanse.  I myself have not taken it, but will be conducting more research on this product and presenting my findings when I get them.

With the slew of acai diet products littering the internet, the question becomes: which acai diet plan is very best for me?

I, myself, have only tried one…and that is Acai Max Cleanse.  This appears to be one of, if not the most popular acai diet pills on the market currently.  These are in pill form and, according to the label, contain a patented blend of Omega 3 and 6, as well as 9 essential fatty acides.  Each bottle contains 60 pills and lasts approximately 1 to 2 months.   For me, I was able to lose about 15 pounds off my first bottle, which is quite miraculous taking into consideration my activity level and body type (I have always struggled with losing weight since high school).   I can't help but give this product a stellar review, as it has been nothing short of phenomenal in my pursuit of dietary goals.  Again, your mileage my vary.

The other highly popular acai dietary pill supplement is Leanspa.  I have not tried it, but do know a few people that have.  All that I have known that have tried it have lost weight, though a few lost a lot less than others…but again there are varying factors such as activity, food intake, body type, etc.  But again, the underlying issue is the claimed 'weight loss' attributes of the acai berry.  According to their ads, the pills are supposed to offer the following benefits:

– Reduce Body Weight and BMI (body mass index)

– Help Burn Fat

– Boost your Metabolism

– Curb Appetite and Reduce Food Intake

The manufacturers describe Leanspa as an all natural clinical strength dietary formulation which contains key ingredients including a highly bioavailable hydroxycitric acid and niacin bound chromium designed to help you lose weight much more effectively than other dietary supplements.  Is it for you?  I'd love for someone to try it and report back with your findings.  I'm interested to see how it stacks up to Max Cleanse…my initial insincts tell me they should be quite similar though.  Both are available now with 100 percent satisfaction guarantees and free trials…you just pay shipping

As you may have noticed, my blog indeed has a 'slight' focus on the acai diet (gee, really Sherlock?).   My aim was to not only share as much pertinent information regarding these fruits as possible, but also to share my own personal experience.  Be aware, as in most all situations, your mileage may and most likely will vary.   As with any complement on the market, lots of people hype the product and also the outcomes never quite live up to expectations. I set out to discover whether or not this acai supplement could really assist me in losing more than 10 pounds in under 2 months.   The product that sparked my interest was labeled Acai Max Cleanse, which apparently is only available online.  I was referred to it by a friend who had caught a glimpse of an ad on one of her favorite cooking websites, and was quite apprehensive and skeptical initially.   However, my initial reluctance was calmed quite a bit when I realized it was a nearly free trial offer with no risk involved and a money back guarantee..so I figured, 'hey, what have I got to lose?'  I only had to pay for the shipping, which came out to just over a dollar.   Impressive.   Immediately after receiving the product in the mail, I began to test it out to see if it could really aid in helping me shed of unwanted pounds. The directions stated to take 1 pill per day, preferably right after eating lunch. So, that's what I began doing.   Granted, I am a single other of 2 beautiful young daughters still in middle school, I do not have much time to juggle a full exercise regimen between household responsibilities and business obligations.  However, I have been walking around my neighborhood every other night for about 30 minutes.  Surprisingly, the results were immediate! Right after using Acai Max Cleanse for 3 days, I could already notice an increase in my energy levels (placebo effect?), and by 8pm, I found myself not being as groggy as I usually am following a full days regimen.   To my dismay, I stepped on the scales after approximately 8 days and noticed that I had gone down to 126 pounds, which was a 2 pound loss.  I could not believe my eyes!  Perhaps this was just coincidence?

I decided to press forward. Week after week, the pounds seemingly continued to shave off my body, and I could feel a noticeable difference in not only my outward appearance but my morale as well.  Both my kids and friends were starting to notice me smiling a lot more and just overall more jovial than ever.   By the end of week 7, I had dropped almost 12 pounds and nearly 4 dress sizes.  I had not been this weight since I graduated college prior to my first pregnancy.  None of my jeans fit me any longer.  This might have been an issue financially lol, but I would not change it for the world.  It is now 3 months later and I'm still taking Acai Max Cleanse and enjoying its invaluable benefits.  Will it work the same for you?  I can't say.  But for me, these little acai berry pills were a much needed Godsend, especially in this hectic climate of economic and physical turmoil.   If you are interested, feel free to try it out yourself risk free here and only pay shipping…perhaps today could be the beginning of a whole new you:

With the seemingly endless articles and myriad of webpages on acai diets plastered all over the walls of the information superhighway, many find it hard to delineate between truth and overblown fabrication.  Among the major claimed benefits in taking these berries as a supplement are the following:

   – Steady and increased weight loss as compared to other forms of dietary pills/supplements

    – Increased overall energy levels

    – Improved cardiovascular and digestive health

    – Aids in prevention of diseases such as heart disease and cancer

The truth of the matter is that there is no real substantial scientific proof to either substantiate nor disprove the dietary effects of these tiny fruits.   There are countless testimonials and documented weight loss stories on the web linked to acai diet pills, and some claim that it has done nothing for them when it came to shedding unwanted pounds.  However, without a truly unbiased and independent study with screened subjects and strictly controlled factors, there is no way to tell whether or not these acai berries really work miracles in the pursuit of losing extra inches.   On the other hand, asking whether or not the acai berry lends itself to being an overall 'healthy' supplement is anything but subjective.  Acai contains several substances called anthocyanins and flavanoids.   Foods that are richest in anthocyanins — such asblueberries, red grapes, red wine, and acai — are very strongly colored, ranging from deep purple to black.   Both these components are extremely powerful antioxidants that aid in the body's cell protection system, helping ward off potential sickness and diseases.  Free radicals are harmful byproducts produced by the body.Eating a diet rich in antioxidants may interfere with aging and the diseaseprocess by neutralizing free radicals.  By lessening the destructive power of free radicals, antioxidants may helpreduce the risk of some diseases, such as heart disease and cancer.  Several studies show that acai fruit pulp has a very high antioxidant capacitywith even more antioxidant content than cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, or blueberry.

But back to the diet aspect that seems to be the primary target of all the debate and hoopla:  I myself am currently taking an acai berry pill dietary supplement in an ongoing investigation to determine the level of exactness of these claims in regards to my own body and lifestyle.  What I experienced may surprise you…

Before we delve into the topic of the Acai Berry and its possible diet and health benefits/implications, let us first examine what and where exactly this recently heralded 'miracle' fruit originates.  The acai palm is a species of palm tree native to Central and South America, found primarily in swamps and floodplains.  A recent surge in the harvesting of this exotic plant in recent years can be attributed to the small, round, black-purple drupe that it bears.  This 'grape-like' fruit has long served as a primary source of food within the local communities for ages; providing up to over 40 percent of the total diet intake of the native populations in the Brazilian Amazon.  However, United States researchers have started to catch onto both the health and diet benefits of this southern fruit, which has caused an influx of popularity worldwide, ranking it as the hottest trending diet supplement in the world with well over three and a half million google searches per month.   These tiny fruits have also been subject to a sea of speculation and investigations by the world's leading news agencies including CNN, Fox, CBS, and ABC, among others…sparking a global debate regarding the underlying truths surrounding their claimed benefits.
